Mosaic Clay Paintings

First, I sculpt a relief into a slab of low-fire white clay. Once fired, I paint it with watercolors and seal it. I then either construct a frame or use a store bought frame glued onto masonite. I glue the slap inside the frame and fill in around it with mosaic tiles in either at random or in a pattern. It is a time consuming process but I love it!
